GETS A STILL
Last week in the Jordanville section,
officers made a whiskey raid and took
a small still from the home of one of
the citizens of that community.
The outfit was a very small affair,
which fitted on top of the ordinary
stove or range. It was complete and
made of copper in the regulation way.
Warrants were issued last Tuesday
for the arrest of those responsible
for the still, but the names of the defendatidants
had not been disclosed.

r~ WHEN WIPE LEAVES
There was a man who advertised ,
his wife in the last issue of The Horry
Herald. Lost, strayed or stolen,
i?__made no difference how she left, the
man wanted her back again, for
fie warned anyone against taking her
in ov supplying her with the necessaries
of life, except as it might be
necessary, of course, to get her back
to him.
It is a bad time when the wife
leaves thei ranch. This man no doubt
found it do.
