ident; Githa Gerald. Recording' Secretary:
R. A. Bass Jr., Critic; and Nell
Page, Censor. The students are en- a
thusiastic over the work the society
expects to do this year and no doubt '
much good work will he done. P
The enrollment is steadily increas- v
ing but !''0 ( is yet mom in the doi- s
mitory to accomodate others. p
Prof. Hamer. our athletic instructor, v
is busy practicing his football team, o
To look on them practice one is con- p
vinced that even now they are laying n
in store manv future victories. Prof. ?
Hamer took several of the members
of his team to Marion last Friday to i
witness a game between Marion and
Bennettsville but learned that the
game there was called off so he went c
on to Dillon reaching there in time to |(
see part of a game. I
The city authorities of Aynor have
proven their co-operative spirit by ^
building a spacious sidewalk through
the town limits along the long street
leading to the school building and the ,
students are meeting them from our
end so that we have comfortable passanre
to the stores and church.
President and Mrs. Brown and Miss *1
Alma Lewis motored to Conway Wednesday
on business.
The Senior and Junior basketball
teams were organized this week with (
Nell Page captain and Minnie Shelly *
manager for the Seniors, and Louise (
Timmons captain and Mary Page (
manager for the Juniors. 1
Soon the supervised study period
will begin. This has not been started J
yet because the electrician has not '
done sufficient wiring to afford the l
required light. It is hoped that with- <
in a few days this will be done. s
