GRAHAM'S WILL
UNDER CONTEST
Amelia Ann Shelley, An Heir,

A contest has arisen over the will
of the late E. Van Graham. The
question is made by Amelia Ann

?Irs. Shelley ha? roqu:red that thi.
will of her father, E. V?r? Graham
shall be proven in solemn form of
law, and already her pe'.iti m ha
been filed with J. v' Vaiur'"':. t'judge
of probate of Horry County.
No time has yet been i xcd .oi* tb
hearing under this proceeding, l>u
it will he held as soon as possible.
Messrs. John Holt and J. W. Cook
are the executors of this will. Ac
cording to the judge of prol>aUj, i
is probable that the executors have
already made disposition of t1
property of E. Van Graham, as d!
rected by the terms cf the will, i
would appear that they may not
havvc waited until the expiration o
a year from the grant of letters.
Anyway, it is thought thai wh
this will is brought into question
that it will be found that it wa
never properly executed and a tesi

were present, and in the presence of
the testator.

Conway Telephone Company

Ads Published
The Conway Telephone Company
has an advertisement in this issue.
Read it and see what the company
says.
From* time to time the Herald will
publish news stories concerning' the
telephone which will be both interesting
and instructive.
The telephone is one of the most
important inventions now used in
modern business as well as in modern
social intercourse. It is a ^reat time j
saver as it eats up space and saves
the time that would be taken up in
Koing to deliver a message.
The telephone has saved many a life
and has saved many a valuable piece
of property from destruction. It has
put through many an important business
deal that otherwise would have
been lost and it has saved thousands <
and thousands of dollars to both work- j
ers and business men. .
Keep up with those stories and with j
this series of advertisements which
will appear once each month.
