H. .Tones, pastor i of the Methodist church at Georgetown and the Rov. E. L. Westhury, pastor of tho Aynor Baptist church, assisted in the ceremonies. Tho stone is of beautiful gray mar-! hie, inscribed with dates, name of the l institution, and the following names of the building committer: S. J. Rodgers, W. P. Lewis, J. T. Shelley, A. E. Goldfinch and S. C. Morris. In the stone were some deposits, among them current issues of dnily and county newspapers and religious periodicals, a copy of the minutes < f the last session of the South Carolina Conference, a copy of the catalogue of tho school, a list of teachers and students, some seeds and coins. Although tho weather was bitter cold, there was quite a lame number of visitors from nearby towns and communities. Tho people of Aynor have done well in providing a site of fifty-five acres and $18,500 for the school, but will need assistance from other communities to build here tho plant that is planned to meet the needs of Horry county and other eastern count ie* of j South Carolina. This is expected to be realized in part at least in the $10,500 to be received from the Christian education movement on foot this yrri'v for all the Methodist schools and colleges.
