There is one difficulty existing in the relations between the masses of the people and p.vfessional men. Those who decide to employ a lawyer. doctor, or a specialist in eithetf these: or nerhans men in several other lines if endeavor, appear, to take it for planted that the persona whose services hraho . ..Km son whose services are sought. has nothinpr else on his hands except VioJr nwn narfeirnlar case. This a> sumption on their part often causes trouble both for themselves and for the man who is trying to serve them. They are often over exacting and art in such way that the man employed cannot have for them the respect that he should in order to serve them in an unprejudiced way. o Let us make Conway a magnet to which we will all cling. o It is the little things which cunt in farming the same as they count in other callings. o That which takes the hardest toil and the hard thinking is the most appreciated. o Let us not forget that it is our duty to serve and build our characters on this firm foundation. Those who wish to do a big business have nothing to do but to pre pare for it and they will suceed, yes, even here. It is a lasting shame that this country is not a member of the .League of Nations. l /TO. 'iZii '. . P p n s KlUI I the Wis is ei TOURIhU R'JiV A 80 COUPE i SEDAN WE ...i n. I ? w - Farmers may look for a bigger spread of the bool weevil next y^ar, and htere will be a consequent falling off in cotton product.on. With so much good tobacco land in Horry County tlie farmers niivrht well learn at once to depend on th'8 as their money <*rop: and they will not care so much about the cotton i <*ffoct the boll weevil will play on it. Abiut the biggest success you happen to know of is founded on a number of failures. Never get d scouraged but try again . The demand for lumber and other building material is not apt to fall oft* during the next five or ten years. Other things will go down 'one before building materials drop down low. This place needs plenty of capital to be spent on permanent improvements. Some who have money are not willing to invest it aiiM tlrs keeps down the more rapid growth of our section. Things are getting bad when a sixty gallon still is found in operation in a populous community. It shows that it will take drastic measures to clean up the whiskey traffic.
