" TAPE SIX ' NEEDS STOCK LAW DAWN OF NEW BAY ; Editor Herald: i I cannot help but express my 1 opinion in regards to the stock law, 1 as so many are writing letters of ' opposition. In the first place, I want to say that I am highly in favor of the stock law, and every intelligent man of Horry County should be. We will never succeed as other counties j have until we pull down the fences, clear up the hedgerows, do away with all low bred stock and get new and first class stock in well culti vated pastures. 1 I lived in Marlboro County last year and you are aware that the 1 people of that County have had the stock law for many years, and for a , fact Marlboro began to grow the minute the law came into effect anil , today there is no county in the state j that out rivals her. Why? Because I the people awoke to a new day, new plans and higher ideals just as we have got to come to in this county. A man never gets higher than his ideals, and just as long as we lookdown in the same old rut and follow I PrU. Our Hon. Representatives have passed this law for us and we are going to have it because there is no other remedy for bringing our county to the front as other counties are now enjoying. Edward P.
