What better aim or motto could any school principal or teacher have than this and especially when the purpose in view is to l\f'lp the school, the home and the church. Work on the Baptist parsonage continues. When completed the parsonage will be one of the prettiest homes at Wampee. Much interest is bting manifested in this undertaking not only by the local organization, but by many non-members of the church in the community. Recently a check for $50 was mailed t?? one of the members of the church from Mr. D. L. Gore, of Wilmington, N. C., to be used in the work. Rev. G. C. Hedgepeth is pastor of this church and preaches here every Sunday morning. Is there another country church in Horry County that has preaching every Sunday. Mr. C. It. Thompson is the superintendent of the Sunday School at this place. A cradle rool and a homo department have been added to the school. Every Sunday a num her of persons join the Sunday school. Farmers in this community are very busy in thefr Fields now prep:ring for the 1920 crop, and as the farmers think the boll weevil is in this county, crops will be pretty well divided. Our school is progressing nicely under the skilful management of Prof. Hallic Hux and Miss Mattic Mishoe. There was preaching at the Baptist church last Sunday by the Rev. Rufus Ford, who has charge of the Loris Field. There is lots of influenza in this section, but all seem to be of a mild type and we hope none will prove to be anything more. % Mr. Dave Sasser, of St. Petersburg, Fla., is spending ' some time with Mr. J. W. Sasser, who has been very ill for some time, but is some better now. Mrs. B. R. Bratcher, of Gable, S. C., spent last week with her Mother, Mrs. R. M. Prince. Mr. J. T.
