The United States Ditsiict Court sat in Florence last week and the proceedings were reported in tin daily paper. These reports show that the main business before the ! court, especially as to number of cases, was the trial of violations ol the whiskey laws and illicit distilling ar.d selling of intoxicating drinks. If it had not been for these whiskey erases and a number of cases of the violation of Federal laws by dissolute women around, the cantonments, the court could no doubt have adjourned after a session of about n I day.
