Hereafter the dates on name labels of the Herald's subscribers will be marked with only the month and the year when they expire. If a subscription starts before the middle of any month, the date will he counted as the first of that month, and if it comes in after the middle of any month it will be count cd as the first of the following month. For instance if the time begins on March 5th. 1919 and $1.50 is paid the date on the label will be Mar.?20, and if it begins on March 20th which is after the middle of the month, the date will be Apr.?20. thus giving only the month and the year when the time expires. This will be easier to both subscriber and publisher and save trying to keep up with the day of the month. There is no unfairness to the subscriber in this because the paper alv ays runs one or two weeks after l the time is out whether the subs<liber renews or not. For a long time, however, our list will be mixed wjith the new and the old plans of klepijig dates; because the new way Vill not be put into effect all at once, but only as changes are made from , week to week in the dates as subscribers come in .and renew. Watch the dates on your label and help us to keep you from missing a ' copy of the paper. The paper will be worth more to you this year than ever before. j > . m? -- IJ I, -* *? HON. J. A.
