Richardson was married to Mr. Montgomery J. Bullock at the residence of the bride's brother, Mr. J. M. Richardson, at Hartsvillc, S. C., on the afternoon of June 27, 1918. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. L. F. Hanley, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Hartsville, S. C., the simple but impressive ring service being u.sod. Only a few relatives and friends were present at special invita tun to witness the ceremony. After i*< freshments had been served the '/up 1 q left immediately for Florence, S. C'., where they took the train for Charleston and other points South. The wedding was a pleasant surprise to the many friends of the contracting parties hero. The bride is well known to the people of Horry County having been at Conway for past several years or the principal of the Training School at the Burroughs High School. During this time she has indontified hcrs< If with the educational advancement of the people of this county and has shown that she is ready and willing to serve to the limit of her ability. She is a highly accomplished young woman and has made her mark in her chosen calling.' She has the good wishes of many friends. Montgomery Jackson Bullock was elected as Superintendent of Education of Horry County at the last election for county officers. He is a well trained and thoroughly read man in educational affairs. He has filled the office during the present term with efficiency and unusual ability. He <s popular among the people of the county and fully deserves the high estimation in which he is held by the people. * * * Reports from the eastern sections o: thi scounty are to the effect that the corn crop has been greatly set back by the dry weather and in some sections hardly half a crop will bo produced. He was not among the first this year; but reached the Herald office last Thursday with one which he picked ^ from his 12 acre patch about June * 24th. The jury found ia verdict j hat the deceased came to his death rom gun shot wounds inflicted by ieorge Finklea. The trouble out of (j irhich this killing came took place ecently when the two negroes fell j ut over some trifling dispute and he one shot the other inflicting a mid from which Vaught died. The negroes did not send any noice to the coroner and had buried the emains. The slayer of Vaught, at j, ast accounts, .was in the county jail iwaiting trial at the next term of the s. curt.
