Morns is reaching a number of the
towns in the State this summer, and!
is meeting favorable response to his
campaign for funds for a new building.
There was a fine patronage
given the School last year, both from
this and other counties, and the prospects
for the coming year are good.
Improvements have been made in the
plant, and the faculty has been
strengthened by additional teachers,
and a very fine course is offered both
in the English and Commercial D*
partments. 'With the good prices pre
vailing for crops this home institution
should have as many students as
it can accomodate from Horry Coun
ty alone* The next session begins

Wednesday when the first 4GG names
in the registered draft came to Conway
in'three lots for physical examination.

registered men came to Conway because
they are interested. They

The local board here is now busy
passing on the claims for exemption
made by these in the first 4(5(5 and
will likely get through passing on
these in about ten days. Notices will

his acceptance though the law provides
that a list posted in the office
of the board is sufficient notice of
acceptance.
Within five days after the mailing
of the notice of acceptance the registrant,
if he intends to ask for exemption
on industrial grounds, such
as being engaged in fanning* for ilist:

maintenance of the military establish
rnent, etc., he must file his claim
therefor with the district board and
furnish affidavits in support of his
claim within another five days ther-s,
