AO a.- n 1 _ o I A good way to rest is to try somq new kind of labor. If we could see into the future would we change things very much? o Fashions go on forever and so does 1 the cost of them* o It is an expensive thing to be at outs with your neighbor. o This country will be prepared for war by the time the countries of Europe are again at peace. o Was it the high cost of living that caused skirts to lupine so short this season? o Alternating rest and labor is the best for anybody because this is in accord with the laws of nature. o Before you vote for your man for oflice, ask him where he stands on the leading questions of the day and if he will not tell you turn him down. When you are anxious to spite some V)ody and can't think of anything better to do, prosecute somebody on a; . i ? - * jiivuiuujs inargu in u magistrate s court. ? i The trouble with most men and women of the day is that they are inclined to listen too much to what they hear said and to what they see printed without once taking the trouble to, think a little on their own account. o Some of the farmers are remarking that they have never seen better seasons than they have enjoyed this year. If the showers continue to come at the right time, there is a bountiful harvest in view. o One of the best signs of the times is the organization of Home Demonstration Clubs in every nook and corner of the country; and the farm demonstration work that is helping the farmers to understand problems better in every section of South Carolina. o The European war has been used more than anything in this country as nn excuse for raising the price of ordinary everyday things. This can not last long however as the high prices will bring stronger competition than ever and prices will sooner or later fall flat. HOMESTEAD NOTICE. Whereas, Lillie A.
