The time to tackle a hard job is in 4he early morning. o A late start generally means that you are behind all day. o Now go to work hard and forget the heat. o It is hard to make thoughts come this hot weather. o Some things in this world will insist upon going by contraries. o It is useless to look for perfection anywhere else than in Heaven. o How we wish we were as wise as some other people think they are. o Many things of great consequence in this world were never learned in school. o Men have changed very little since | Adam's time when it comes to placing blame on others. %? ** t ; * O < Too much sleep will make you more jj sluggish than not quit enough. Try \ it and you will see. .. *.g *** "* j -O [ After the European war is over, ^ then will come the great fight between \ the nations for trade, ~ ] v - J** \ Strange that some people should \ get it into their heads that running a newspaper is like owning a gold mine, i o Why spend any time in useless effort hunting an easy job? Work is work the world over. o i Some things that some men would j shun like the plague, others meet half way and embrace. i o We do not alwayse remember that even the best things in the world are far from being perfect. o Here is to the Summer Girl who keeps her health and throws the paint and powder puffs away . o The inventions of the past arc nothing to compare to the discoveries that will yet be made in this world. o Many men and women have dropped out of the race of modern times. They find it impossible to keep step with it. o And still the only street sprinkler the Town of Conway has are the showers of rain that come after many weeks. o Never call out the reserve tcrces in yourself until they are needed then after they are rested they will be of great service. o A contemporary remarks that the fashions come and go. Of course they do as the gentler sex parade them up and down the streets. 1sJV , SiK it' Some men will shrink at the idea of one particular ccrime and at the same time they are.ready to commit any of the others kmnvn to the laws. o You can find plenty, of men and women who act.just as they would in Adams time before the fall when the human race was unknown to shame. o Education added to native intelligence combine to make a shrewd man. Some brains seemed to be injured rather than .helped by attempted training. It dors not work well to pay some shops for work before delivery because they belong to the class that forgets the work after the consideration lias been paid . o The United States will aim to keep the high seas open to trade. This will be her burden in all of the negotiations she may have with Germany or other warring nations. o News despatches recently stated that Billy Sunday., the noted evangelist has been sued by a man in Philadelphia for damages to his home. The details were not stated and the exact news must have been suppressed. o Some of the farmers of this county have already learned, years ago, the sad lesson of planting a big cotton crop, only to have to spend it for supplies that had not been provided for on the farm. o When about to be overcome with the heat, an even air castles seem about to melt down, then think of the sweet girl graduate who has returned, and the cool evenings by the moon light. o Notwithstanding the stringent laws against the sale of patent medicines containing more than the usual quantity of alcohol; the sale of "Bet1/, Iron & Wine" goes steadily on even on the Sabbath day. It shows its effects or, the working qualities of the men every day in the week. o The most dangerous situation known to the imagination are none too daring for some men. They rush in always where angels fear to tread. Well, daring has done some good in the world, for it has led to discoveries that would probably not have been made soon in the world's history. Vienna, via London,?Przemysl is again in Austrian hands, according to official announcement made here today. The great Austrian fortress of Przemysl, situated between Lemberg and Cracow in the province of Galicia, was captured by the Russians March 22 last after one of the longest sieges of modern warfare. Since then the Austrians and Germans have made a vigorous effort to retake it, large forces for the drive eastward being diverted from the great fortdess to the west of Cracow. Recent dispatches have said the Austrd CJ&rni&n troops were successful in their operations to the north and the southeast of Przemysl, and that the forts girding the position had been taken. When Przemlsl fell into the hands of the Russians it had undergone a siege of 201 clays. The Austrian garrison originally consisted of 170.000 men of whom 40,000 were killed. About 120,000 Austrians surrendered with the fortress. o Neuralgia Pains Stopped. You don't need to suffer those agonizing nerve pains in the face, head j arm, shoulders, chest and back.
