Old record book "K" which had been misplaced ever since all of the records were removed from the court house to the new court house, was found last week, and its contt nts are being transcribed, and the deeds indexed in the new patent indexes recently installed in the Clerk of Court's office. There was a fight at the restaurant run by Jennie Johnson on lower 3rd Avenue, last Saturday evening about dusk, in which a white man and the proprietress of the place were engaged. The man was Joe Sessions, and he was arrested by J. Monroe Johnson a policeman and lodged in the town lock-up. He resisted when the officer tried to take him to jail so that the policeman's shirt was badly torn and he had to buy a new one. Several others aided in quelling the disturbance which seems to have resulted from strong drink. Say, Bob Smith, did you know that they were lying about Lawrence? LaRue Wirt Langston, which will take place at the Kingston Presbyterian Church here at nine o'clock on Thursday evening, September 3rd, 1914. The bride-to-be is the charming young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Quattlebaum. She counts her friends by the hundreds in Conway where throughout her life she has been identified with many of the leading movements and societies of the fair sex. The lucky young man is a son of the Rev. W. J. Langston. For a number of years prior to 1913, the father was pastor of the Conway Baptist Church residing here with his family until he accepted a call at another church in this State. La Rue Langston is a young man of the highest culture and education. He has fitted himself for the ministry and soon after the wedding the happy couple will depart for Brazil where the bridegroom has chosen his work in the great Master's cause.
