The question of the simian ances
try of man has long been the subject
of jest. From tho zoological point
of view it has been a matter of more

applied to blood aud the problems of
immunity, data of a new sort have '

THOSE DIFFICULTIES ^
When the people of a town,
through the officials whom they hav?
elected to govern thorn, come to the
conclusion that the end has been
reached in public improvement, it i3
almost sure that everything will remain
at a standstill for some time
Very often in private life, the reason
for failure is to be found in the
lack of effort caused by an unreasonable
fear of difficulties and obstacles
in the way. There is a lack of that
Spirit and enorgy which goes to the
attack with the determination to
overcome and succeed in spite of all
obstacles in the way. Just so we
find it in the administration of pub
lie affairs. Often, some of the mem
bers of the board or council, whatever
it might be, are bound down J
