W. P. Lawrence. OB1TUABY On the night of June 20bh, 1912, the death angel visited our home and took from us our dear old grandfather, Allen J, Elliott, who was born Oct. 11th 1838. He lived to reach the ripe old age of 72 years 9 months and 9 days. On October 29th, 1863, he was happily married to Miss Sarah Ann Grainger, and to this union was born three children, one of which proceeds him to the better world. Ho. had hfipn in feehle health for abaut two >ears and was strfcken with paralysis only six days before his death, after which he never spoke again. We did ail for him that willing hands and loving hearts ojulti| lo to stay the icy hand of death but to no avail. He was a member of the Zoan Methodist Church and supported this organization with an honest heart until his death. Therefore our loss is his eternal gain, and we mourn not without hope, but his past life gives us assurance that he is at home in heaaen. He leaves a wife, two children, one brother, one sister, a host of grandchildren, and many friends to mourn of his departure from among us. From Zoan his own hill.
