Thank you, Uncle Tuck, wo wait for another invitation. Well, Ivlr Editor, we had plenty of snow up here recently which lasted for a considerable time. The writer spent the snowy days in yie Red Hill section at Messrs C R Page, Gas Page, Mad Floyd, Uncle Return Page and Uncle Bill Page; and, Mr Editor, I was really sorry when the snow melted for away I had to go Snow or dam was served at Mrs C R Pace's at least twice a day ail during the snow and you ma}f bet 1 tried to be on hand at those times. Just before the snow I went out on a survey, and, by-the-way, who do you suppose I met that morning part of the day??Lige BuH'kin, a clever man was he; and in the afternoon, when I looked down the road, who should I see but Mr J A Lewis, of Conway?another fellow who looks and acts like a candidate. Well, Mr Editor, of all bad roads that I have ever seen to be possible, 1 think it must bo the one from Conway to Dog Biutf. Oue day recently, as I was coming from town, I saw something aheau in the road and as L drew nearer I saw that it was a horse and buggy. I got out of my friend's buggy, he driving by and on out of the swamp. I heard a musical voice, which sounded like it might be beneath the mud, sa?, "mv trace is broken." I saw it was , a lady in the buggy and the horse i and ouggy bogged down in the mud. , 1 wenti in n.nd nvurv sr.on 1 tnnlr T sank nearly to my knees. I repaired the broken trace and hallooed, "Come up, Fanny!" The horse made a surge and broke both traces and the stirrups, I went to work, and after gathering all the strings 1 1 could find, among which were my < suspenders, t repaired the harness. It was now getting lat.e and the lady ; was getting weary. Having everything complete and thinking the worst was over, 1 was about to step aside halloo, "goon, Fanny!" but, ah! to my sorrow, I fouud that I stood in one place too long. Here we were, horse, buggy and I bogged down. Old Fan gave it up, but I kept pulling until I got one foot on top the other and lioally 1 got out. About this time along came a young matv who proved to be a friend. I proposed that he drive around to the hill, take out, and come back with his mule and help Old Fan and I. He did as I requested and sfoer considerable* time we landed with his help on this side of Crab Tree swamp, where 1 again joined my friend and up the road I came the muddiest man you ever saw. Well, my friend was a little disappointed f for he had a date with his girl and s we were late. We saw that we could not get there on time, so we called in at Mr Brad Floyd* Mr Brad made it so pleasant for us that 1 was s glad we were late. When we left Mr Brad's vife made _ ?
