Lawrimore , Near Port Harrelson, ?truq]k by Lightning During an Electrical Storm Last Thursday, and ^oung hon, Ulrick, Instantly Killed.-?Several Other Members of the Family Received Shocks, but Fortunately None Serious. During a thunder storm last Thursday afternoon, a bolt of jightnidg was responsible for a terrible * . tragedy near Port Harrelson. The lightaing struck tbe kitchen of Mr R. W. Lawrimore, a prosperous farmer of that section, and a son, a j young man, IJlrich Lawrimore, was ? instantly killed, and the rest of the family were severely stunned and painfully injured. Mrs Lawrimore received a severe cut on- the scalp supposed to have been caused by some falling lumber from the roof. I . Mr Lawrimore (pimself was com| pieteiy paraij zed for a while and uu " ' ' *1 l* | Friday was not over tue tuci-?o ui the shock, although he was able to walk about very feebly. Dr J. K, Stalvey, of Bucksport, the family physician, stated while in Conway last Friday that while it would be some time before the family recovered, yet he thought they would all recover. T*?e kitchen that was struck, was attached as an ell to a large dwelling house, and this .? : dwelling house was not injured in the least. Underneath the kitchcu 4 * was a light wood stump and in some strange manner it caught on fire V from the lightning. The damages however, to the building can be repaired with very little expense. There is more Catarrh in this section of the country than all other diseases put together, and until the last f^w years was supposed to be . ' incuraole. For a great many years doctors pronounced it a local di. ease and prescribed local remedies, and onstantly failing to cure with local treatment, pronounced it incurable. Science has proven catarrh to be a constitutional disease and therefore requires constitutional treatment. Hall's Catarrh Cure, manufactured by F. J Cheney & Co , Toledo. Ohio, is the Only eonstitutional cure 01 the market. It. is taken internally in doses from 10 drops to a teasp^onful. It acts directly on the blood and mucous surfaces of the system. After that cross indictments were taken out so that the number of warrants issued against each other amounts to the number above i% mentioned. The warrants were first thrown out before Magistrate Chestnut and Mr Johnson moved the cases to Magistrate Grainger. When Magistrate Grainger called the cases in his court here last . Thursday, Mr Floyd i&d the cases moved to Magistrate -S. M. Allen at Gurley, S. C. None of the cases have been tried as yet. The many friends of John W Floyd will read the notice of the death of his beloved wife with g^eat regret, and the bereavement in this loss has come to his heart ana home will call forth from a very large circle of friends deep and tendei sympathy. In the prime of womanhood, about four tnonths ago Mrs Floyd wan taken seriously sick and on Friday, June 30, at one o'clock a. m,, at hei home near Aynor she fell asleep. She was the second daughter of Mr and Mrs Gray Floyd and watborn in Marion county in 1892 She was married to John W. Floyd November 21, 1910. In October 1910 she united with the Aufcioch Baptist church of which she was a consistent and devout member. She was possessed of | those qualtities of womanhood which commanded not only the highest respect but also the most perfect confidence and those who came into the circle of her friendship were drawn closely to her and held .firmly by the , steadfastness of her affection. Loyal and faithful in every relation of life and in the home she was preeminently the wife ancT friend most loved and most admired. Without display she shared unstintedly the hospitality of her home with her husband and friends. Kind, gentle and faithful she impressed all who knew her with the sincerity of her friendship and the constancy of her devotion to her husband, , friends and God. Hers was an influence and life that does not end with the grave. Her worth and tender sympathy felt for her aged father and mother, brothers and sisters were shown by great concourse that fallowed her remains to the cemetery at Antioch where she was buried July 1. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Kcv J. L Mayers. The services were not only appropriate but beautiful and impressive. Being dead she yet speaketh to many of us who knew her best, of love of homo and loyalty to fiiends. The bereaved loved ones have the deepest sympathy of the entire community. A Friend. Kill More Than Wild Beasts. The number of people killed yearly by wild beasts don't approach the vast number kiikd by disease germs. No life is safe from their attacks: They're in air, water, dust, even food. But grand protection is afforded by Electric Bitters, which destroy and expel these deadly disease germs from the system. That's why chills, fi ver and ague, all malaria and many blood diseasos yield promptly to this wonderful blood purifier. Try them, and enjoy the glorious health and new strength they'll give you.
