In the midst of young manhood,
that dreadful disease, consumption,

his bufferings with Christian fortitude
and was never heard to murmur,
but was ever ready to smile.
Ail that physicians and loving
hands could do was done to stay the
icy hands of death but to no ava.l.
Our kind and loving Father knew
best. Ob, how hard it is to give
him up, but we must bow in humble
submission to Him who doeth all
things weli.
He leaves a wife, th**ee children,
father aud mother, three brothers,
three sisters and a host of relatives
and friends to mourn their loss, but
our loss is his eternal gain. We
mourn not as those who have no
hope. We ft el that he is t?fc rest, as
he often spoke of the rest awaiting
him. He said there was a better
rklur-u for him and he must HO. He

v,as a dutiful sou, a loving and affectionate
husband and father aud a
kind and loving brother. May we
all live so as to meet him in the
uweet bye and bye where parting
will be no more.
"Weep not for a brother deceased,
Our loss is his infinite gain,
A soul out of prison released,
And freed from its bodiy chain
With songs let us follow his fiTght,
And mount with his spirit above,
Eseaoed to the mansions of light,
And lodged in the Eden of love.

Missionary Meeting This Week.
The Foreign Missionary Society
of Marion District will hold the raunual
meeting in Conway Methodist
church b?giuning Friday at 8 p m.
The delegates are expected to arrive
Friday afternoon on the 1:30 train,

ladies from the local Missionary
