Let Us Pray. Editor Horry Herald: I wrote an article to the Herald - on September 8th, "Prohibition Djn't Prohibit," that was the heading of my article, but further on in my article I said we had a law to prohibit the legal sale of intoxicating drink, but it did not prohibit the i.legal sale. I still say that although a piece of egotism, that now resides in Lumberton, N. C , who styles hiirstlf a preacher, and signs his name J. M. Fleming, used a little over one thousand words in an ai tiele published in the Herald on September 29th to call me a liar. He said prohibition does prohibit Hits read a little more of this meddler's article. He says: "I have been on the streets of Lumberton at all hours of the day and Dight for ten years and I know their topography so well that you could not. lose me if the darkness was as black as midnight in an Egyption prison Has he ever been to Egypt or is he talking about the pleague of darkness that was sent by God on Egypt? That darkness was so dark that they could feel the darkness. My. how ' - - 1 _ -I* A 1 " -y? da^k! ana this preacncr 01 hiu gospel of Jesus Christ tells us that he could not be lost in a town of about two hundred acres in such darkness as that.. N >w, Mr Reader, you know that you or I would get lost on less than one acre in such darkness in or out of town. Mr Reader, please look up your pip :r, issue of September 29ih and read his article from one end to the other. Rut you may not find your paper so less read those few words of his about Lumberton and that Egyption prison darkness again right here. He says: "I have been on the streets of Lumberton at all bburs of the day and night for ten years and 1 know their topography so well that you could not lose me if the darkness was black as midnight in an Egyptian prison. Now, gentlemen, all that believe that statement of this sky-scout, stand until you can be counted. No bidy stands?lets pray. O. M. Watts. Not Sorry for Blunder. 1 If my friends hadn't blundered in thinking I was a doomed victim of consumption, I might not be alive now," writes D T Sanders, of Harrodsburg, ivy., "but (or years they saw every attempt to cure a lung racking cough fail.
