As a rulo money deposited in a bank subject to cheek does not draw interest. The reason for this is apparent to the intelligent mind after moment's consideration. Under the provisions of a recent Act of the Legislature the Palmetto flag is required to be floated from every public building in the State, and from every school building during the length of the session. The bunting for these flags can be procured from the Textile department of Clon son colh go. This is the attractivo feature of the Spivey good roads Act, and should appeal to the favorable consideration of every patriotic citizen of Horry who wishes to see his county prosper as it has never done before. There is only one way to curt deafness and that is by constitutional r( tnedies Deafness is caused by an it Hamed condition of the mucous liuiug of the Eustachian Tube. When this tube is inflamed you have a rumbling sound or an imperfect hearing, and when it is entirely close, Deafness is the result, and unless the inflammation can be taken out and this tube restored to its normal condition, hearing will be destroyed forever. , Nine cases ouq of ten are caused by Catarrh, which is nothing but an inflamed condition of the mucous snrfaees. Sessions, Sheriff of Horry County. October 18th, 1910, Array in if Class Ajfian it Class. Mr Editor: Will you tfiveme space for a few words in the ileraiu t In reply to "Horry Boy" I would say that he seems to think that if bond the couaty we would have #ocd roads. Now, if he wants better voi ds let him ^o to work and make thein. If we were to bond the county all of we farmers would not get a cent of the money on our roads. It would .ill he nut, on the roads around some town. My idea is to allow (5very township that wants butter roads bond itself for this purpose. All wo country people can make out with our roads like they now are. What is the use for us to build roads forty or fifty miles from home? Jf I the roads can't be kept up with six days work thrn put on six days more, which will make twelve days. From what I can find out Mr Spivey is the head of this good road movement and I think lie is doing the people a wrong in doing so. i am afraid he will want, another ofiice sometime and he will fail to get it. I will say one more time that it is all we people can now do to pay our 'axestosay nothing of a big road tax. ISow, if all we people could get our money back whenever a man worked the roads why, it might do, but al! wo people would never get a cent of the money. The road overseers sa}' they can't got, the count.y to pay for enough lumber to put down a few bridges and we don't need the bond issue. We have just got rid of the bonds for building the railroad and it wasn't worth a cent to we people down in this end of the county and I hope that, the good pec pie will remember that- I will not say anything more about the good roads bond issue at this time. Health of this section is generally good at this writing. People are in good heart because cotton is bringing a good price. Mr. Editor, please publish my few remarks as many of us turn to you. You know right from wrong. It is all that the poor farmer caa now do to live for everything is so high and people can't pay so much tax, If it wasn't for the farmer what would the town people do. If you have anything to sell and nobody can'l buy it and pay for it what profit is it to you? A Friend. Notice of Sale.
