John Roberts and Harman Hi x,

opened and a lamp lighted for the
purpose. Owing to this confession
on bis part, the other man, Harman

that he was frightened when
he was arrested and was promisee
by the constable that he would b<
let alone if he confessed the act, ann
owing to this inducement, he told
an untruth about entering the store
