he is a Democrat, he is a traitor, according
to the interpretation of the
standards by the latter day saints.
Conway has the reputation of being
one the best tobacco markets in the
State, and its two warehousemen are
doing their level best tokeepupthat
reputation.
In the race with Death Joe Guns,
the lightweight pugalist, came out
victorious and reached Baltimore in
time to see his parents before he
shutHed olT this mortal coil.
Good roads is what Horry needs
and good roads is what Ilorrv must

paying a road tax of two mills and it <
is claimed, and we have no reason j
to doubt it, that these same two j
mills will raise each year a revennc i
sufficient to meet the interest on the j
bonds and leave a neat little sum as a
a sinking fund to redeem the bonds J
at their maturity. This being the j
case there is no logical reason why 5
the bonds should not be voted. To I
the contrary every consideration ap- q
peals to the patriotism and good i,
judgment of the citizen to vote &
these bonds, especially so when we j
are assured that we can have, good I
mads without increasing our taxes j
the hundredth part of a mill. ^
