We had very disagreeable days tin

The Suoroine Court has granted
a motion to reopen the Derailt case
Severe colds are prevalent to some
extent anions the people of Conway.
We have it on good authority thai
the managers of the Conway Tobacco
Warehouse will be prepared to
obtain the highest market prices for
its patrons.
Several prom i net farmers have
spoken very favorably?almost enthusiastically
of the proposition to
establish a cotton seed oil mill at
Conway. It is now up to the enpif
talists to say whether this enter*
prise shall or shall not be.
That the streets of Conway are in
better condition now than they have
been is evidenced by their condition
during and immediately after the
heavy rains we have had during the
latter part of last week and the tirst
of this. This is accounted for on
the hypothesis that the streets have
been intelligently worked and the
drainage greatly improved. Notwithstanding
this there is great
room for stdl further improvement
along these lines.

On the 28th day April, 1007, that
monster death, who has a claim upon
us all, stole into our family circle and

She was the mother of eight children.
seven of whom are now living,
and had seventy nine grand-children
and lift} -live great-grand-childron.
The end was not unexpected for
we all knew grandmamn could not l>e
with us al ways.
For many years prior to her death

holding up well for her ago Hut for
several weeks before the end she was
almost helpless.

taken away. May we all ho resigned
to his will.
She joined the Primitive Baptist
church in early womanhood and lived
a consistent member until her death.
She exemplified the beautiful graces
of a Christian during life, thereby
leaving the bl ssed assurance that
she has only exchanged a life of suffering
for a crown in Heaven.
She was a woman of unassuming
disposition, noble impulses, affectionate
and ambitious.
O how heart-rendering to stand by
the bedside of our loved ones and see
the last spark of life extinguished,
out may we all be drawn to Him,
who gave us life in Christian love,
that when he sends the summons for
us we will lie prepared to meet
grandmother in that bright celestial
home where there is no such thing
as parting.
The interment took place at the
family burying ground. Her body
was laid to rest on the hillside by her
