OUR COF Thursday November 23 1905. INIxuu vlllc. Kino weather prevails and the farmers are all about through harvesting their erops, and seem to be pleased at the result of their year's labor, and the prices they are receiving for their cotton. Now Mr. Editor, TtVutiksgi ving day will soon be here, and we, of this section, have much that we should be thankful for, we have beon blessed with line weather during the whole harvesting season, and also with good health, and a fair yield, therefore we should all return our heartfelt thanks to the Giver of nil good gifts for what lie has done for us during the past year. Mishoe was here one day last week. J. B. Strickland passed here one dav last week en route. to Bjivhnrn J - ? Wo are sorry that the agents are so numerous iti the Lako Swamp section. If there is any good book agents among them we would be glad if they would come up in our section for there is not half enough good books in our homes yet. There are homes in our section without a Bible, and' the most of those that have Bib'es and other good books to read would not of had them if it had not been for some good agent who worked hard and persuaded them to buy. Those who bought good books and have read them and their children have read them, they are now glad that they have acted so wisely. II they would speak their minds they would bid the good agents God speed and advise them to work harder. Our school h is not begun yet, but we hope to have a good school later on. S. P. liurlcy. Farming lands are going up rap idly, i(i fact the\ are too high for profitable farming according to South Carolina methods.
