hurt ourselves by voting out the dispensary,
but 1 am sure that if we
would put just one third of the
amount which we have been spend
ing for worthless dispensary to
school purposes, and the other twothirds
in impro /ements on lands of
fertile Horry, we would not be hurt
"cm ugh that you could tell it."

The Baptist Sunday school con

a. in. After some business trans
actions the convention adjourned
one hour for dinner, and went to
a grove of pines where a large table
was prepared and laid with good
tilings which the good ladies of
Tilly Swamp knew so well how to
prepare. A large crowd was served
bountifully and to spare, after which
the convention unassembled and
finished up t he business of the eon vrntion
for the day. On Sunday at
11 o'clock the mass meeting assembled
in the church and went through
the program prepared for the occasion.

themselves very well. After the
exercises the Rev. Charlie Bullock
preached an interesting sermon to
a large congregation. The church
was packed to its utmost capacity
