W. 1'. is nor where he lives, iclther do I know what "Long Jranch" he means, as there area jood many "Long Branches" in lorry county, but 1 will venture the (ssertion, that J. W. 1*. cannot vist the County seat without crossing >no or more bridges, which were milt with money from the general lounty funds, and of which funds he good people on the eastern side f the Waccamaw river were taxed n the same proportion as J. W. 1*. Now, Mr. Editor, I will state in he outset that 1 am opposed to icwspaper controversies, and 1 do lot propose to have one, but I was o much impressed with J. W. P's. rticlc that I feel it almost a duty o enter my protest. 1 know there are some very narow-rninded people in the county, it 1 must confess that 1 did not lolievo there was any one so narrowoinded or with such little patriotsin or so opposed to fair dealing as judge J. W. P. to be.
