Mr. Freeman was thrown oil' and seriously injured so that it will be many weeks before he will be out again. . The other gentlemen were not thrown from thc.ii* seats on the machine and were not hurt. A doctor went over in response to a telephone message from Pino Island, and the injured man was brought in on the train as quickly as possible. The accident was caused by a hog that tried to cross tho track ahead of the car. Mr. Bell, who was running the car, saw the bog near the track and slowed down in order for the hog to get out of the way. When only u short distance from tho hog, it turned off towards the ditch as if it intended to cross it, and the current was turned on again. But instead of crossing tho ditch, the hog suddenly turned and trico to cross the track in the opposite direction and came in contact with the driving wheels of tho car. New School Hulldlujr. At the same time tliev have had unusual expenses to meet in some particulars and they have carried on the usual improvements as rapidly and as expensively as ever. I<? Mem?riam. Pleasant M.adow Sunday school has sull'ered a great loss in tin' death of our leader and instructor, II. M. Anderson, who passed over the t iver June Kith. lhOI. For the las lit) odd years lie lias been a true a nl faithful worker in training and instructing the rising generation in his community for' Christ. During those years lie was j punctual to his church as well as I his Sunday school, when the Sab- | bath day came he was found if aide logo, at hi:; post of duty. If lie had company at hi- home he would ask them to excuse him until ho could return. Although we have heard him remark many times that ho would get so discouraged some times because so few would meet him, ami not seem to take any interest in helping him in his- work, tiiat he would make up his mind to throw up his job and quit, but during the next week the Spirit would tell him to try again, and being led by the Spirit all would be lovely and encouraging again. As vears claused he liwninn cn <0 I taehod to the ohildron and could oarrv on tho work so easily and pleasantly that it seemed that we could not do without him, and that if he went In nee the school would go to naught, but not so. the Lord always devises a way. Dunne all those years of toil he was looking farward for a day when his labors would cease, was training young men to take his place, and we are proud to say that his labors and prayers were not in vain nor fruitless. We have heard lItem remark since lie has been called hence that it was through his instrumentality that they were able to (111 the stations that tney were filling the place that he had filled so long. While he suffered under the hand of addiction for many years it was a little over a year that he could not attend his school. Hut his heart and prayers was in the worn, frequently enquiring about the school. About one month previous to his death being the regular time for re organiznation, he being very feeble, one of the deacons went to see him in the afternoon of the Sabbath and lie very soon began to enquire if tho school met and re-orgaI ni'/n/l 1 lio /?lVinA??o ?wl ........ It has been very often related that many notanlo persons have gone ont in dilTerent responsible avocations in life that wore trained and instructed by him.
