A movement has beer, made among the merchants of the town to close their places of business at 7:30 o'clock in the evenings. It is a good move and in the right direction. There are a few of the merchants who will not sign the paper - to close. We cannot see why any one could object to closing at 7:30, unless it be a spirit of contrariness. It does seem that the business men of Conway could get together on such a small matter, and thus show the people that they are willing to do what is right. It would make their clerks do better work for them and feel that their employers had more than a dollar and cent interest in them. In other words that they considered them beyond what they could get out of them in dollars and cents. Where a clerk knows that his employer has his interest at heart he does better work, and pleases his customers. We know there are some who arc hard after the nickles and think if they can get all to clos?* but a few, they will get rich from 7.30 until next morning, A list of thoes signing will appear in the H krai,i) next week, Citizen.
