The demand for dwelling houses in Conway is so great that this cottage was rented before the plans were submitted to the contractor. Mr. Snyder is one of our well known young business men. Both aro very popular in Con .vay society. LEWIS?HA WES. There was a quiet wedding at 8 o'clock last Thursday evening at the residence of Col. The bride is a charming young daughter of Mr. Hawes who recently moved here. Mr. Lewis is one of our enterprising young men connected in business with his father at present in the large store on Main Street. OBITUARY On September 26th, 1902, death entered the home of brother Charles P. Hammond and took from him his devoted and beloved wife. In the i death of this r.oble woman the whole community mourns; for she was a good neighbor, and affectionate wife, a devout christian. Mrs. Hammond whose maiden name was Virginia E. Bullock, was born Nov. 28th, 1861, and was married to her surviving husband May I 23rd, 1880. She was the mother of nine children, all or whom ure living. Wo laid her body away in the family burying ground in the afternoon on Sept. 27tli, surrounded by a largo host of sorrowing friends and relatives. Hut we arc filled with ' hope. Wo hope to meet her in the fields of Eden. She will bo missed in the homo, in the church, in the community. But wo believe God had a greater work for her in heav, en, so ho took her.
