oOt. Cot tine. The ?eni8, lias just .e New Court House. .ou 11eiiai.d:?Please allow me ^e in your columns to say a few .ords in Lehalf of the new court house and jail. 1 see several communications in opposition in which that one mill tax seems to be a terror. It is said that the present court house is sufficient to hold all the people who have business there. Wo submit that every man in the county has the right to go in and hear the proceedings of the court if he so wishes. How can a man exercise this right , when there is no room even to stand at times. Mr. Editor I have often boon at the court house and could not get in on account of the lack of room. This is not right bnr'.nisA ni'oi'u man iviv< liiv; kIihi'ii of taxes and all should be allowed equal privileges. Many would be benefitted by attending and hearing the proceedings of the court. The increase in population de ir.ands a much larger building than the present one, and we say by all means lets have it. The necessary tax is so small that we do not see how anybody can object to that, who has any interest in the up building of Horry county. We think the jail would answer a while longer, but lets have the new court house and have it where the present one stands. We think there will be enough votes to carry it through. VoTKU. Prices are so very good that everybody seems pleased. At the Friday's sales of tobacco at Horry Warebome, which was a large one, there, was not a single tag turned. It was a sale of which Capt.
