On April 10th, at her residence near Toddville, Mrs. 'lester Ann flux, in the 74th year of her age, after about thirteen months of helplessness and suffering. She died as she had lived, a christian, having been a member of I'nion M. K. Church, for many years. She leaves three chihlren, t wenty four grand children, and two great grand cliil dren. She was burled at Union Church graveyard on the day following her death, Uev. T. M. Ueut.v conducting the burial service. Miss Ilattie Lee, dauiditerof Mr. and Mrs V. I), (ah*, formerly of I) u lah, S. C., but now of I'earson. (la., after am illness of 11 days at the residence of her parents on March 22nd 1002, lacking one day of being 14 years of age. liattic was gentle lov ing and kind to all, always speaking pleasantly and cheerfully to her pa rents, scho> I mates and friends. She had no enemies but made friends ev cry where she went. Her place in the home, the Sunday School,' and in the elnjri h can never he filled. She died in a land of strangers but she will he kir.dly remembered by all who knew her. J. N. J. Sister Mary Jones was born in I lorry county, S C., July 10th 1SIIK, and died March 7th 1002. She joined the Methodist Kspiscopal Church early i<i life, hut was not converted mtil during the pastorate of llro. W. A. Wright, since then she has lived a consistent life.
