The gasoline lamps that has heen placed on our streets will greatly dispel the darkness and enable our citizens to walk the streets with much more comfort and satisfaction. Captain Edwards our genial and faithful engineer on the Coast Line is nearly himself u^ain.i He will report for duty in a few days if a re lapse does not occur. Mr. Th miiis Thompson, Mr. R "Lewis Lee's brother in-law, is now 011 his way South and will east his lot with the people of the Palmetto * State and of Horry County. Mr. B. T. flyman has been confined to his house for two or three days, but is now convalescing. Those who have experienced his form of sickness know how to sympathize wit th him. The regular schedule on the Con way & Seashore Railroad will be annulled mr a week or ten days so that the engine and entire train force may be used in building up the railroad embankment in the river swamp.
