slow on answering dispensary ques

change. Some one in the crowd asked
him, ''will you willingly give it
up after two years." When he answered

half of the cotton crop had been kil
led by boll worms and if the showers
continue the entire crop is likely to
bo destroyed. The plant has grow n
so large and rank that the sun cannot

Mr. McGhee, will reorganize tho
school and make an earnest endeavor
to place it upon a piano of excellence

such other teachers as the patronage
will justify.
Miss Kssio Collins, of the Columbia
Female College, a lady of rare
musical talent, will have charge of
the Music Department, and no efforts

in eastern South Carolina, which
