We want everybody in Horry to become readers of the Hkuai.d, and the people of a community whose mail facilities are such, ought to make it known and wo will try and help thorn effect a better arrangement* North Carolina at one time appeared to be in a bad way politically on account of the Third Party, but that seems to bo going to pieces very rapidly. A number of the candidates for county oflices have dropped out of the race, and now Julius Andrews, who was a delegate to the Omaha Convention and chairman of the Third Party Executive Cotnmitteejin Marion County, has renounced his lieiesy and eoino back to the Democratic fold, lie is now on the stump working for Cleveland and reform. o The bridegroom expectant was too communicative, made too many confidants, the news of the contemplated plans reached the wrong ears, hence the intended elopement was a faux ]>as, We have a strong inclination just here to give a lecture on the evils of youthful marriages, and found our remarks upon the punitivo results following the violation of physiological laws, but we forbear, and refer both to their parents, the young man to his mother and the young lady to her father, who will rrive them some wholesome and solun tary advice. o Next Tuesday is election day and the prospects for the election of Cleveland and Stevenson are very fayorable, not to say flattering. The defection of Hon, ex Commander in chief of the G. A. H. is said to be telling upon the soldier vote in the West. The enormous registrations of voters in New York ind Chicago are perplexing to the politicians on both sides. The most reasonable explanation we have seen s that it is the silent vote which will bo felt in this [election. In the Far West the Third Party is the unknown quantity in politics now, and its influence on the general result Is so uncertain and problematical as to Jisturb the political equanimity of the Republican National Committee. The nresent nnt.lonk is that it will. it least, defeat Harrison's election, md may throw the presidential election in llouso of Representatives, [hough we think Cleveland will receive enough electoral votes to safely put him in the White House. o I'he November Wide Awake ppens with a profusely illustrated article on "Some British Castles, writ ton by Oscar Fay Adams, and appropriately frontispiecod by a splonlid full-page pictnre by Garrett, of Marniion's Defiance to Karl Douglas it Tantallon Castle.
