Will I merest tlio Women. .

A writer in a recent issue of the J_i
Ladies' I Ionic .Journal has the ful- i
lowing, which will without doubt in- *
terest ail of the wedded of the J'airji
sex, who will say "amen" to it good I
and loud:
Many a husband, perfect in almost;
every other quality, lacks one tiling: i
the virtue of consideration for the s
woman of his home. How often I
have 1 heard men say to tliair wives ?
"Yon have nothing to do all day. 1
You attoml to that." Now women 1
arc far busier in their homes than
many a man imagines or perhaps 1
knows. To conduct a well-rcgulat- i
ed home requires as much time and I
as much skill as to conduct a well- t
regulated business. For a woman i
to get good service out of the help I
in the homo is just as great an art i
as it is for the man to draw forth
the best in his clerks, .lust as many i
knotty questions come up in the I
home for decision as come up in the j
office. A table is often as great a ]
battlefield as the desk. We men are
great factors in the world's history, i
but we do not constitute the entire ?
creation. All the burdens of this t
earth were not put on our shoulders. 1
(}od put a few on the shoulders of \
women, too. Whenever you think, i
my dear sir, that you are carrying <
all the worries and troubles of this i
world, just stay at home a day and l
watch the domestic machinery at
work. It will be quite a revelation I
to you. You will find that your i
wife has not half so much time to ;
herself as you supposed; and the
next time when you think she has ]
more timo to do a thing which prop- 1
crly falls to you, you will be hotter i
able to judge whether she is capable j
of doing it in addition to her other
duties. t
