A. leaders in this state predict that the twen ty-fifth state convention, which is to meet in Columbia, February 8 11, will be a gathering of great power and Inspiration. It will, in all probability, be the largest and most representative gathering of the kind ever held in South Caro lina. Charleston is working hard to bring the banner delegation. Practically every college and university in the state will send delegations of its strongest men. Young men from a great many communities where there are no smociations are planning to go to learn something from this organisa tion which has demonstrated its ability to cope with all problems that effect men. The state executive committee, through the columns of this paper, extends a special invitation to the managements of cotton mills to eend a representative, to participate in the discussion relating to practi cability of establishing work among the men and boys employed in factory districts. Mioisters and other Christian men who are interested in the young ' men of their respective towns are invited to attend this meeting. The convention opens on Satur day night, February 8, in the beau tiful new building of the Columbia association. All men who are thinking of attending should com municate at once with the state secretary, addressing him at the Y. M. C. A. building, Columbia, 8. C. Upon application the proper credentials will be furnished. The good people ofColumbis will entertain all delegatee providing due notice has been received by the association of their coming prior to the convention. The railroads of the state have granted reduced rates. Among the prominent speakers ie Captain Richard P. Hobson, the hero of the Merrimac.
