There is a disposition in Horry , to criticise Congressman Ellerbe on account of his, alleged discrim inations in favor of Georgetown, and thc indications arc that Mr Hodges will car ry I lorry county, which has a ui'Oinendrous white voting population. Thc Conway Field says, in a re cent issue: We notice from thc papers that Congressman Ellerbe arranged for thc agricultural and drainage ral ly held in Georgetown Tuesday 20. Three government experts attend ed the meeting, but Mr Ellerbe could not bc present. Now as to thc drainage part of thc rally it is very well to hold such a meeting in Georgetown but when it como* to to agricultural part it seems rather funny, of farmers, according to our information, are as scarce as hen's teeth in Georgetown county. If you want to lind farmers, Georgetown, is about thc last place in the State to go to look foi' them -Darlington Press. Most assu redly, and Horry was the logical point. Wo have a greater aren to drain and so far as farming goes, why we are the "stuff." Mrs Lizzie Spears Lee, daugh ter of Hobt and Ellen Spears, am wife of J Marvin Lee, was bon Aug the 5tli 1879 and died Apri 22nd 1008. When but a child six gave her heart to God and joinci thc church at Hebron, Blenhcin circuit, and her lifo proved tin genuineness of her profession. Hers was a happy disposition hence she was quito a favorito with all who knew ber, both ol( and young. She had a talent for music ant it, was her delight to usc this tal cnt "In praise of Him who ha? endowed His children with tin power of song." In Jan 1903 she was happily married to Mr J Marvin Lee, t< him she was a true helpmate. lier death is a great loss to tin church and community in whicl she lived and especially to tin young husband and three prcciow little children. But fer her death had no terrors just before her spirit took it flight she bade adieu to her hus band, father and brothers and bc queathed a mother's dying blossin] to her precious little ones, exhort ing thom to meet her in tho para disc of God. Her mortal remains wore laid t rest beneath a mound coyore with beautiful spring roses in th Hebron cemetery. Thc funeral sorvices wero con ducted by her pastor, Kov.
