The Re formation iu the Church of England aud The Revision of the Prayer Book in the loth Century were closely re lated subjects. lu their discussion it waB developed that no church was founded iu England as the result nf the Reformation hut that the Church of England preserving its continuity and holding fast to those ancient cus toms and doctrines which seemed good merely threw off and discarded the corruptions which had prevailed dur ing the middle ages. Tho delegates were hospitably en tertained at tho homes of Messrs W. P Breeden, Jackson, Maultsby, Hod ges, Cobb, Beatty, Douglas, Rogers and Dr M aison. On Wednesday the Convocation ac cepted an invitation to visit tho Gra ded School where Bishop Capers made an address to the pupils, and the delegates were entertained and shown over the now building by Prof Dibble and his able corps of assistants. On Thursday the visitors were in vited to dine with Mr and Mrs. Mow ry, and were served with an elegant repast On Friday they were invited lo the homo of Dr. J. A. It will meet next spring in Trenton, S. C. The preaching services were well attended every night during thc week except Saturday night which was omitted. Rev. Hi H. Covington of Sumter remained over Sunday-Rev. C. W. Boyd taking his place at Sum ter-and held two services, morning and night, a liding finale to this most interesting and enjoyable meeting. She leaves two .children ages two and six. Mr. Patrick was taken in a wagon to jail but be was too drunk to know anything about the shocking killing. Coroner Covington went down Tuesday morning and held an inquest but there was no testimony to change the above, except that in addition to the gunshot wounds, knife wounds on the throat were found.
