In the western portion of the county the showers did not slop the plows. This old and popular troupe came iu Wednesday morning on a special from Darlington. They Boon erected their tent on the show ground on the Crosland lot east of the Depot and at 12 o'clock gave a parade, abd ou the come ol Marion street opposite the court house their band played a num ber of popular airs that were greatly enjoyed. Contrary to expectations only one performance was given, and by 8 o'clock in the evening tho tent was packed. Tho entertainment was one continued spasm of fun and laughter that was gratifying to all.
