The State. The Carnival. The carnival is now on. It is composd of a very clever set of people, and the attractions they offer are of a rather higher order than usual. We have not taken it all in as yet, but want to say that The Roberta's Electric Theatre is very line. It is a presentation of a number of splendid panoramic displays of moving pictures, the chief among them beiug a realistic series of a sensational escape of a number of convicts from Sing Sing prison, their subsequent capture and death at the hands of guards, and an extremely amusing set of pictures entitled "Maggie Mur phy's Wash Day." Another feature of the car nival is the wonderful work of the world renowned palmist, Princess Flora. Prom what source she derives the power to read accurately your past, and to foretell your future, we can not say, but that she does the former, and as has been report ed, has done the latter is also true. See advertising mention of these two attractions, and don't fail to see them.
