If there is anything wrong with our leading editoriul this week plea&e call our attention to it. We promised to call ntteution to the projected sewering of Hampton Park. Look for it somewhere else iu this issue. We are doing well with our < lugul blanks. Our forms tfivc universal satisfaction. The < share crop and lieu form is a < beauty. We are much impressed with the court house cess- pools. They may be, and probably are con structed on hygienic principles, but to us of the mntiated, they < appear veritable death traps. Curiosity is one of our beset ting sins, so we confess to a more tliau slight feeling of that uature concerning the proposed piping of Hampton Park. It appears to us that sufficient fall cannot be obtained to prevent the mains, or pipes from tilling up with sand, rendering them useless for the purpose intended. While on the subject of Hamp ton Park drainage, what about the screen that we suppose will be placed at the head of the drain for the purpose of pre venting the entrance of leaves and trash into the drain? If not frequently cleaned, the latter days of Hampton Park tcwcrmje will be worse than its tirst. Good roads is a live subject always. It might not be amiss if our city fathers would experi ment a little along that line 011 DeKalb street from Mam to Lyt tleton. Coal dust has its uses, but the sprinkling of window curtains with it during dry weather is not one of them. Kershaw Guards Jlnnquct. On last night, the 17th inst., Flint Hill church, Cantey, was the scene of a very pretty marriage ceremony, the same being wit nessed by a large and appreci ative audience. The vows were administered by the Rev. iu a very impressive manner. The high contracting parties were Mr. Robert McDowell and Miss Sallie Drakeford, all of the Cantey section. Our cougratulatious are hearti ly extended to the couple. As a life insurance agent, we suggest that the goom promptly take out an anuual policy iu the shape of a paid supscription to The Peo ple. Drice Law Constitutional. The Supreme Court decided that the Brice dispensary law is constitutional in the whole, ex cepting that section of the act by which counties voting out the dispensary lost their share of the school fund earned by the institution. This means a great deal to both the dry and wet counties, the wets having to divide equally their share of school profits with the drys who, even if entitled to their share, certainly did not earn in.
