In this connection it is interesting j to note that studies made in North j I Carolina have shown that the aver- ] I - | jage cotton rrtfill paid about $11.50 per | bale more than the farmer received for the same class of cotton. It was i | estimated that'50 points or $2.50 per | j bale, would amply meet the cost of freight and other legitimate charges in sending the cotton to the mills.
