There is an other question which is said to have engrsssei a good deal of the discussion of the Cabinet and that is the shutting of the land offices, & as to stop, from this time, all entries of publl lands. The President is said to be strongly op posed to tills step, which is strongly urged upo: him by a portion of the Cabinet.
