The lecture will 'je illustrated with magic lamerv pictures. \ small admission fee will he charged, and the proceeds will be used for the benefit of the school. Boxes will be sold, and much pleasure will he de rived by all present. There will be a revival meeting at the Smoaks Baptist ^'hurch begin ning on the second Sunday of March. The meeting- will be condqcted by the pastor. Rev. J. C. Lawson. A special feature of the meeting will be the aong services, which will be led by Prof. Frank McCravy. There will he two'services dally, one in the morning, and one at night. Rev. Lawson is confident that hfs meeting will he marked with suc cess. Mrs. I. M. Maxey has returned from I>eaville. where she has been spending a time with h'-r mother, since the death of her father. Lev. J. E. Rushton, a short while ago. It was with profound regret that the community learned of the death of Mrs: E. W. K'nard on' Wednesday morning, Feb 24. The funoral was held a( Smoaks Baptist cluurch on Thursday at 1 o'clock by Rev. J. C. Lawson The interment took plnc*> at the cemetery of this church. A host of friends expressed their sym pathy for the bereaved, family by their presence at the funeral. * Mrs. Klaard was highgly esteem^ "d. and loved by all who knew hec.
