He is satisfied that this is the conviction of all the rest. Now let the churches be unafraid to stand for the right. John 8. Weeks died at his home at Round, 8. C., on April the 24th In the eightieth year of his life. Brothef Weeks was born In Barnwell county, spent n part of his life ns n hoy In Barnwell and Beau fort counties, and the remnjnder/«f his life in Colleton. In his early manhood he married Miss Sarah Hlott of which union there was born several sons and one daughter, who prove by their useful and exemplary Christian lives that they were brought up in the nurture and admo nition of the Lord. Sister'' Weeks, who only a short tjme before went to the heavenly country, was a noble, consecrated Christian , a splendid help-mate, and left her Impression for good on all who knew her. Brother Weeks united with the Ufildn Baptist ’^iurch early in life, was licensed to preach in 1859. and ordained at the Union church »n He entered the Confederal, xrmv in I860, and during • the pc- riud of his military service • a* . poo l end faithful sold: -r. About thirty-five, years ago Bro ther Week’s life was borne down fc; - affliction from which he never re* covered, and on account of which he was seldonwever able to leave his home.
