Hair troubles, like many other dis eases. have been wrongly diagnosed and although misunderstood. The hair Itself is not the thing to be treated, for the reason that it is sim ply a product of the scaip and whol ly dependent upon its action. The scalp is the very soil in which the hair is produced, nurtured and grows and it alone should re ceive the attention ir results are to be expected. It s ou id do no earth ly good to treat the stem of a plant with a view of making it grow and become more beautiful—the soil in which the plant grows.must be at tended to. Therefore, the scalp in which the hair grows' must receive the attention If you expect it to grow and become more beautiful. Loss of hair is caused by the scalp drying up, or losing its supply of moisture or nutriment; when bald ness occurs the scalp has simply lost all its nourishment, leaving nothing for the hair to feed upon <a plant or tree would die under similar condi tions.) The natural thing to do In either case, is to replenish the soil or scalp as the case may be, and your crop will grow and multiply as nature intended It should. Mildredina Hair Remedy makes the scalp clean, healiny and whole some. It quickly peneirates the pores and stimulates the hair glands and scalp tissues, thereby promoting the growth of the hair. Its action is quick and the hair soon shows the effect of its wonder ful cleansing and stimulating quali ties. One 50 cent, bottle is enough to convince you of its great worth as a hair growing and hair beautifying remedy—try it and see for your self. Mildredina Hair Remedy is put up In 50c and |1.00 bottles. Sample botti* by mall for 10c. If your drug gist will not supply you, we will send you the |1.00 size by mail pre paid on receipt of price. Mildredina Specialty Co., .. „ Boston, Mass. n-e-4t. Millie Christine, the world fam ous colored twin sisters, united from waist down but with separate legs, born and reared on a little farm near across the North Carolina line near Whiteville, died last week at their home near Whiteville. These hu man wonders have been to Mulllnii on several trips as they have numer ous relatives here. They were re lated to several colored famil ies by the name of Gerald, now liv ing in the immediate locality. Millie Christine has traveled and exhibited all over this county and the world over. Having twovirginaa but only one rectum, they were one person form in two , parts, their minds and sensibilities being nearly alllgned. They were well educated negroes speaking five languagee. One sister was named Millie and the other Christine but they signed with both connected by n hyphen. As is known, ever since emancipa tion Millie-Christine have been owned and controlled by J. Pearson Smith of Colleton county, this State, who had the entire confidence of them and exhibited them all over the world and they attracted large crowds everywhere. Two years ago Millie contracted consumption and the past summer was spent by them in the North. Up until that time they always en joyed good health and never knew what It was to complain. Dr. Cro- well, of Whiteville, was their phjK slcian. Week before last Millie rap idly grew worse and died at 6 p m on Tuesday. Just before her death Christine, who was la best of health, was taken with a severe spell of vomiting. Dr. Crowell was at her bedside and said that Christine an nounced her slater's death even be fore he himself had detected that life had left the body. * The minds of the two always ran »» Ih® »»me groove. Christine said Millie died Tuesday at 6 p. m. and Christine died Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. A human being existed for nineteen hours united with the part of a corpse. The living sister bore up wonderfully well but after a few hours suffered excruciating nervous agony. ( hristine knew her own de mise was inevitable, for the living eould not be cut apart from the dead. The two sisters had always prayed that they might pass away at the same time.—^Mullins Enter prise. IYmy Y«oth’« Oumpancfto for 1913.
