M** _ Cotton Seed Meal and Hulls for Horses and Mules. Cotton seed meal as used for all kinds of cattle, bogs, sheep, and goats, is aheady so well established as to need no com ment. But it is not so well known that cotton seed meal is equally valuable as a food for horses and mules. The eminent Dr. Tait Butler, of the NortK Carolina Experimental Station, a recognized authority on animal feeding, says in speaking ol a proper ration for work horses and mules, f “I wou.tT rather have two pounds of cotton seed meal than four pounds of corn; I would rather have two pounds of cotton seed meal than four * pounds cf oats.
