Upon reading the petition of the petitioners in the above entitled proceeding, and after due consider ation thereof, It Is Ordered, That the limits or honn- dr-ry line of Walterboro school dis trict, No. 1-9, be altered and ex tended in accordance with the pray er of tho petltion i the limits or boundary as so altered aid extende to embrace the territory lying with in the following boundary or limits, that is to say: Commencing at tho confluence of Great Swamp and Black Creek ard following the run of Great Swa-nip and Jones! Swamp to where Wolf Creek Joins Jones’ Swamp; thence following Wolf Creek to Fox's Ra.v; and thence a starlght line to the North-Western corner of the lands now owned cod occupied by Jeff Beddars; and thence following the Northern Boundary of these lands to the Glvhans Ferry Public Highway and crossing the said public highway by a straight line to the head of Sim mons' Branch, taking in the home of James Craven; and thence down Slnunond' Branch to lands of S. H. Smor.k, and after leaving said branch running In a South-Easterly direction following Northern bound- ary of lands of S. H. Smoak, separ ating his lands from Baracada plant ation to Sanday Dam Branch, and thence following said Branch in a Southerly direction to where U forks, and thence in a straight line to the head of Black Creek; and thence following Black Creek to the confluence of Great Swamp. Lends which, if properly drained and clear ed, would yield by the nature of the soil as almoa^ no other'will; even i superior, as a matter of fact, to those lends of Holland to which the Senator makes referer^e where the thrifty*, enterprising Dutch c profitably tilling the soil below the level of the rivers and mak ing the God-given free breeies and nuMi-built dikes keep the water off the crops. Whnt the Senator has drawn in the shape of a comparison between j lower South Carolina c-t<J Holland can just as well be applied to a , vast territory in the State of Geor gia and yet if the statement should be made to the people of either state that thoae Hollanders are any more progressive than we are.
