W B Gruber leftr yesterday for Columbia where he has business before the Supreme court. Quite a number of gentlemen from town are also in Columbia this wetk in the interest of Mr Gruber’s candi dary for the Supreme Court Justice ship. This election may be held Friday of this week. Among those in Columbia are: Col. J G Padgett' M P Howell, Jas E Peurifoy. His friends are all hop*- tol that Mr Gruber will win.
